Officer of the Year

The NCCOPS Charitable Foundation is taking nominations for the 2nd annual NCCOPS Police Officer of the Year Award. If you know of any police officers who have excelled at their job, let them know by nominating them for this prestigious award.  Nominations for our first award will close on December 31, 2010 and will be presented during National Police Week in May 2011. Any nominations received after this date will be held for judging in the following year.

 



The selection criteria for nominations include:

Humane handling of difficult situations.
Outstanding act of kindness, understanding, compassion or courage.
Continuous devotion to an area which assists and enhances the community in a significant way.
Contributes to the safety of his fellow officers through brining forth a manner of training, an incorportated technique, a policy, or securing of equipment that led to improved officer safety on duty.
